Bosch in Edmonds kitchens
Bosch dishwashers are so common in Edmonds that a technician can almost guess which kitchens have one. They fill the remodeled hillside houses above the Bowl, the condos near the ferry and Brackett’s Landing, and newer builds in Westgate and Sherwood, because they run quietly enough for an open kitchen that looks out over the water. Many owners pair one with a Bosch slide-in range or wall oven, and some add a counter-depth Bosch refrigerator or a compact stacked washer and dryer in a hall closet. The brand builds tight, efficient machines with stainless tubs and strong wash performance. What it asks in return is attention to filters, detergent dose and leveling.
When a Bosch dishwasher fails, it usually tells you. Water in the base pan lifts a foam float that trips the leak switch, the machine stops filling and the drain pump runs to protect the floor. A blocked filter or a stuck pump impeller leaves standing water in the tub. The door springs and their cables wear until the door drops open on its own. Bosch ovens tend to need convection fan motors, temperature sensors and door locks after a few rounds of self-clean, and gas ranges need igniters now and then. Compact Bosch dryers often run without a vent, so their condensers and lint filters need regular cleaning. None of these faults calls for a new machine by default.
Bosch by appliance
Bosch machines we repair and their weak points
Bosch refrigerators & freezers
Bosch counter-depth French-doors and built-in bottom-freezers warm up when the evaporator fan stalls or a defrost heater fails and the coil frosts over, and their ice makers go idle with a failing inlet valve or a frozen fill tube. We read the sensors through the control’s test mode, check fan voltage and inspect the evaporator.
Refrigerator repairBosch washers
Bosch compact front-load washers stop draining when socks or coins block the pump filter behind the lower kick panel, and they refuse to start once the door lock fails. A roar during spin points at the drum bearings. We clean the pump filter, test the lock and the pump motor, and check the drum for play.
Washer repairBosch dryers
Compact Bosch condensation and heat-pump dryers dry poorly when lint coats the condenser or filters, or when the water container or drain hose backs up. Vented models need the usual vent check. We clean what can be reached, test the heater or heat-pump circuit and the temperature sensors, and look at the pump that moves condensate.
Dryer repairBosch dishwashers
Most Bosch dishwasher calls involve a drain pump jammed with glass or a fruit pit, a leak that has tripped the float switch in the base pan, worn door springs or cables, or a circulation pump whose built-in heater has failed. We find the source of any water first, then test the pumps, the heater and the control module.
Dishwasher repairBosch ranges, ovens & cooktops
Bosch wall ovens and slide-in ranges lose convection fan motors, oven temperature sensors and self-clean door locks, while gas cooktops need igniters or spark modules and induction tops sometimes lose a power board. We check sensor resistance, fan motor windings and lock switches, then confirm the control sends power where it should.

Bosch codes and test programs
Bosch dishwashers show codes that begin with E, and two of them account for most of our Edmonds calls. E15 is the leak code: enough water has pooled in the base pan to raise the float switch, so something is dripping inside the cabinet. E24 means the machine couldn’t drain, usually because the drain hose is kinked, the filter is clogged or the drain connection under the sink is blocked. Many models also have a test program, reached through a button sequence, that cycles the pumps, inlet valve and heater in order. We run it and then check each suspect with a meter. Bosch ovens and laundry use separate code lists, which we read the same way.
Around Lynnwood
Bosch in Edmonds and neighboring towns
Edmonds draws the same soft Spada Lake water as Lynnwood, under one grain per gallon, and Bosch dishwashers respond to it in a particular way. With so few minerals to tie up, a full detergent dose stays harsh and slowly etches glassware to a cloudy finish that rinse aid won’t clear. A half dose of powder or gel protects the glass and the pump seals alike. About half of Edmonds homes heat with gas, and Esperance leans further that way, so Bosch gas cooktops and dual-fuel slide-ins turn up often. Older houses in the Bowl add another wrinkle: tight sink cabinets and aging shut-off valves.
Warranty first
Bosch coverage and our role
Bosch backs its appliances with its own limited coverage, and some components carry longer terms, so check the paperwork that came with your machine before scheduling anything. If Bosch still owes the repair, use that coverage first. Our company runs independently, outside the Bosch service structure. Once the coverage has expired, we take on the repair with one written price and a written warranty of our own.
Interurban Appliance Pro is a local repair company. We work independently of Bosch; the brand name only identifies the equipment we repair.
Questions
Bosch repair questions
My Bosch dishwasher shows E15. Can I just tip it to drain the base?
Tipping it may clear the code for a while, but the water came from somewhere. Common sources are a cracked sump seal, a leaking circulation pump, a loose hose clamp or suds pushed out by too much detergent. Turn the power off at the breaker and call us; we dry the base, then run a cycle with the toe kick removed and look for the drip before replacing anything.
Why does my Bosch dishwasher door fall open?
The door is balanced by a spring and a cable on each side. When a cable frays or a spring stretches, the door drops or slams down, and leaving it that way can strain the hinges. We replace both sides as a pair so the door closes evenly, and we inspect the hinges for wear while the side panels are off.
Do you repair Bosch compact washers and dryers in Edmonds condos?
Yes. Compact Bosch pairs fit the hall closets of condos near the Bowl and along the old state highway, and they are often stacked. For some repairs the technician has to unstack them, so a clear path and a bit of floor space make the job easier. Mention the building’s parking or elevator rules when you call so we can plan for them.
Why are my glasses cloudy from my Bosch dishwasher?
Soak a cloudy glass in white vinegar. If the haze wipes off, it is film from detergent or minerals; if it stays, the glass is etched, which happens when a strong detergent dose meets very soft water. In Edmonds and Lynnwood we usually suggest less detergent and a full rinse aid reservoir. If dishes also come out wet and cool, we test the heater.
Can you look at my Bosch oven while you’re here for the dishwasher?
Yes. Note the oven in the request form, or tell us during the callback, and the technician tests it during that visit too. The oven and the dishwasher are priced on separate sheets, so you decide on each one independently. It spares you a second visit when both have been acting up.
Start with a diagnostic visit
Bosch repair in Edmonds begins with a diagnosis, its fee quoted when you call. After your okay, that charge is already within the written figure; decline, and the diagnosis is the only amount owed.
