Why is my Frigidaire top-freezer cold on top but warm below?
In a top-freezer, the freezer produces all the cold, and a small air damper lets it down into the fresh-food side. If the damper sticks shut, or frost blocks the passage after a defrost failure, the lower compartment warms up even though the freezer stays cold. We check the damper, the evaporator fan and the defrost parts, then clear the frost so air moves again.
