Booking and arrival

What’s the quickest way to set up a visit?

Phone us, or fill out the request form on this site. It wants the appliance, your ZIP code, a few words on what the machine is doing, a day that suits you, your name, your number and the street address of the job. When we ring back, a two-hour slot gets set, and we pick up anything the form missed, the model number for instance.

Is a same-day appointment realistic?

Often, when the call comes in early. Whether a same-day opening exists depends on how full the schedule already is, and a refrigerator gone warm is moved ahead because the food in it will not keep. A sluggish dryer or a noisy dishwasher may land on the next open day instead.

Are Saturday or Sunday visits possible?

Yes, both. Saturday and Sunday are ordinary working days for us, with visits from 8 AM until 7 PM. Anything you submit on a Sunday is handled like any other day, and we call back during open hours to arrange a slot. Saturday openings tend to go first, so ask early in the week if that is the one day you are home.

What is a two-hour arrival window?

It is the span of time inside which the technician will reach your door. We set it on the callback that follows your call or form, so you are not stuck at home all day. If an earlier job runs long, we phone ahead to let you know rather than leave you guessing.

Does someone have to be there during the repair?

Yes, an adult who can open the door and decide on the written price. A relative, a neighbor with a key or the property manager can cover for you, provided they are able to say go or stop on the repair. Before the slot begins, clear the way to the machine and shut pets in a separate room.

The diagnostic fee and the written price

I said yes to the repair. Is the diagnostic fee billed on top?

No. It is absorbed into the repair figure you agreed to, so the invoice never lists it a second time. Trip, testing and fix all share a single number, and you read that number in writing before the technician reaches for a replacement part. That is the rule in all six towns.

Suppose I decide against the repair?

Then the diagnostic fee covers the whole of what you owe. The findings stay with you: the failed part, how it was tested and what fixing it would take. Some people use that to price a replacement, others to wait for a better moment. Either way, no further charge follows the visit.

Why test with a meter instead of just swapping parts?

Because many symptoms share causes. A dryer that runs cold could have a failed thermal fuse, an open heating element, a bad igniter or a weak gas valve coil, and replacing the wrong one costs you money and time. A reading on each suspect narrows it to the part that has really failed, and that is the part on your written price.

Does the written price change once work starts?

No. Whatever figure you approve is what the invoice shows for that repair. Should the technician spot a second, unrelated fault along the way, you hear about it and receive its own written price, which stands or falls separately. Either one can get your yes without the other.

Is there a way to lower the cost?

Our pricing is the same for every home and every caller, so the useful steps are practical ones. Give the model number and symptoms on the call, which helps the right part ride along on the van, and if a second machine is acting up, mention it so the technician can check that one too during the visit, with a written price of its own. No work begins until the estimate has your approval.

Appliances, brands and parts

Which appliances do you repair?

Six kinds. Fridges and freezers, garage and built-in models included; washers in every common layout, stacked units too; dryers, gas or electric; dishwashers; induction, glass-top and gas cooking, from wall ovens to full ranges; and the ice maker housed in a refrigerator. Outside our work: garbage disposals, heat pumps, small countertop gadgets, standalone ice machines, water heaters, wine coolers, microwaves, furnaces and anything commercial.

Are gas appliances part of the work?

They are, alongside electric ones. On a gas range the technician checks the igniter, the oven safety valve and each burner’s flame; a gas dryer gets its flame sensor, igniter and valve coils tested. If you ever notice a gas odor, do not hunt for its source: walk out of the house, and when everyone is safely outside, ring your gas utility or 911.

Which brands do your technicians work on?

Most of what local homes hold: Bosch, Café, Thermador and Miele at the upper end; Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Kenmore and Frigidaire in many older houses; GE, LG and Electrolux nearly everywhere; Speed Queen in laundry rooms; and Samsung laundry, dishwashers and ranges. We are a local, independent company that also holds LG and Whirlpool authorized service status. Still under warranty? Covered repairs on LG and Whirlpool-family machines come to us; for other makers, check their coverage first.

Do you carry parts, or do they have to be ordered?

Our vans are stocked with the usual casualties: igniters, thermal fuses, door locks, drain pumps, inlet valves, belts, door gaskets and common sensors. That stock is why so many visits end with the machine running again. A less common part gets ordered: we tell you roughly when to expect it, then return to fit it, and that extra trip carries no charge.

Will you tell me if it’s not worth repairing?

Yes. Age, the cost of the repair against the value of the machine, and whether other parts are close to failing all go into that call. When the meter points at a refrigerator’s compressor or its refrigerant circuit, you get an explanation of what a sealed-system repair would mean next to a replacement, so you can choose with the whole picture.

Lynnwood and the towns along the line

Which cities and neighborhoods do you cover?

Lynnwood first, and around it Everett, Edmonds, Mill Creek, Shoreline and Mountlake Terrace. In practice that means places like Meadowdale and Alderwood Manor, Lake Ballinger, Richmond Beach and North City, the Bowl and Five Corners, and Silver Lake and Holly at the south end of Everett. Esperance and Woodway are on the list as well.

Does Lynnwood’s soft water affect my appliances?

It does, mostly by making detergent go further than the label suggests. Lynnwood’s supply comes from Spada Lake and carries almost no hardness, which means a full scoop in an HE washer can oversud, trip a code and gum up the dispenser. Dishwashers etch glassware the same way. Scale rarely causes trouble here; a washer that fills slowly more likely has a clogged inlet screen, a weak valve or low household pressure.

My front-load washer smells musty. Is that the climate?

Partly. Long wet stretches, especially where the Convergence Zone stalls over the King–Snohomish line, keep laundry rooms in Shoreline, Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood and Edmonds damp, and the door gasket never quite dries. Leave the door and dispenser ajar between loads, wipe the gasket fold and run a cleaning cycle. If the smell stays or water pools in the drum, the drain pump filter needs a look.

Do you serve Shoreline even though it is in King County?

Yes. It lies across the county line from Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds, and it is one of the six towns on our regular schedule. Water there comes from Seattle’s Tolt River supply instead of Spada Lake, yet it is soft too, so the detergent advice holds. Post-war ramblers fill much of the city, and with roughly 44 percent of homes on gas heat, gas dryers and ranges turn up often.

Can you check my garage refrigerator after a hot spell or an outage?

Yes. A garage unit labors through heat waves such as June 2021’s, and a long power cut such as the one in November 2024 can leave its electronics or the ice maker confused once power comes back. The technician checks airflow over the condenser, both fans, the defrost circuit and the board, then tells you whether the unit can cope where it sits.
