Reading LG error codes
LG displays are candid about what they sense. On LG washers, OE means the water didn’t pump out in time, IE means the tub didn’t fill, UE flags a lopsided load and dE points at the door. Dryers with Flow Sense warn when the exhaust is choking, a vent problem before it is a dryer problem. Refrigerators show Er plus a short tag naming a fan, sensor or defrost circuit. A code says where the board noticed trouble, not which part died, so the technician runs the built-in test mode and confirms with a meter. Read us the code on the call and we can bring likely parts.

My LG French-door is warm but the freezer is fine. Is it the compressor?
Usually not the first suspect. A warm fresh-food side with a hard-frozen freezer more often means frost has packed the evaporator or the fan that moves cold air has stopped. We check the evaporator cover for frost, run the fans and test the defrost circuit. Only after those pass do we read compressor current, and if the compressor is the cause we lay out what repair would involve versus replacing the refrigerator.
What does OE mean on my LG washer, and can I clear it myself?
OE means the washer could not pump the water out in time. Make sure the drain hose isn’t kinked or shoved too deep into the standpipe. Then, with towels and a shallow pan ready, open the little panel at the lower front, let the hose drain and twist out the pump filter. If the code returns with a clean filter, we test the drain pump motor and its wiring.
